Mike has chosen to make the Northwoods his home, where he and his wife of 30 years are raising their 5 children. Mike grew up in Minneapolis, MN, where he graduated from Washburn High School in a class of about 800 students. He spent most of his weekends and summers working on his grandparents’ farm in southern MN, where he learned that nothing is quite like the hard work of farming. After graduating from Carroll College, Mike moved to the Rocky Mountains, where he worked his way up from skier-by-day and desk clerk-by-night to General Manager of Winter Park’s premier resort hotel. Mike decided to pursue an original goal of becoming an attorney, so he and his family returned “home” to Wisconsin to attend Marquette University. They lived in the inner city of Milwaukee for several years and moved north to settle their family of 7 and become part of the community.
